Carolyn Myers Glenn

Savannah- Carolyn Myers Glenn died peacefully at home in Savannah on October 7, 2012.
Nicknamed "Cardo" after her mother, Carolyn Morton Krenson Myers, she was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 6, 1928. Her father, John Anderson Myers, returned to Savannah with Cardo and her sister, Betsy Myers Walker, and brother, Jack Myers, Jr., shortly after her mother's death. In a stroke of luck, Mr. Myers retained Cassie A. White, to help look after Cardo and her siblings. Cassie White continued her loving relationship with Cardo, Betsy, and Jack and the next generation of the family through her lifetime.
Cardo attended The Pape School, graduated from The Baldwin School for Girls in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She married Robert Strudwick Glenn "Bob" on February 12, 1948, and remained happily married to him until his death in June, 2011.
Cardo was active in the Junior League of Savannah, serving as President from 1960-61, The Colonial Dames, and various other civic and social clubs. She obtained a Georgia real estate license in the mid-1960's and sold real estate with Phillip Morgan Realty for almost twenty years.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter, Robert Strudwick Glenn, Jr., Carolyn Nash Glenn and Cooper Lenoir Glenn; daughter-in-law Deborah Porter Glenn; three grand-children, Catherine Strudwick Glenn of Savannah and Charlotte, N.C., Samuel Lenoir Glenn and Theodore Porter Glenn.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012.

GUEST BOOK

Bobby, Carolyn & Cooper: I'm sad you lost Cardo so suddenly but glad she died peacefully...My mother said the burial/memorial service was so special - songs Cardo loved, memories from you all, butterflies & birds all around. Cardo would have loved it... She and your dad were so gracious to me - including me in visits with my parents, drinks & supper. I enjoyed Cardo's feistiness; she often said what I was thinking... We all miss the happier days. Sincerely, Julie Howard
